fall fun

Well, fall is FINALLY here in southern California! It felt like summer would never end, but we are now enjoying the beautiful cool weather and some changing leaves, as much as you could expect in California :)

We love fall and had so much fun during this season. Before Hannah was born,
we took a little trip to the pumpkin patch.

The kids had a blast as usual! It was bittersweet to think that this may be our last year to visit, as we have such wonderful memories of this this place! Like here -

2009 - our first year in California

and here in 2011

This year, the animals were a big hit...

as were the pumpkins!

Harris especially loved the giant pumpkins and the "tractor like Flans"

We also enjoyed getting our hands dirty and digging into our pumpkins... well, Harris did.

My girly girl was too concerned with getting her hands dirty, so she requested a spoon :)

yuck!

and, a little pumpkin painting

favorite Harris face ever!

"Jack-o-lantern" pumpkin pancakes

we also set off to Lacy park for a little fall scavenger hunt. This was so much fun!

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is only a few days away! We are thrilled about spending time with family and friends, giving thanks for all we have been given, enjoying a visit from BG (yay!) and anticipating advent and Christmastime!!! We love everything about this season!
