vacation.

Pebble Beach.

It's my 6th time to visit and no matter how many times I go, it takes always takes my breath away.

This place holds lots of special memories for me. We've loved having a (free!) place to vacation during this season of not having extra money to travel. And, visiting Susie has been such a joy. She's welcomed us with open arms even with adding a kid almost every year - she's so awesome!  Jeff and I are already planning an anniversary trip to come back just the two of us. Ahhh... one day.

This year Jeff was sick for the majority of the trip with an awful virus, but he was such a good sport and made the best of if. Visiting Susie has truly been one of my favorite things about living in California. I'm not sure where we'll be next year, but if we're not in LA, Christmas just won't feel the same without our Pebble Beach trip.

FYI - 21 days till match day (not that I'm counting or anything :)

We spent a lot of time just taking in the beauty of the ocean and the rocky shore. It seemed as if every time we went the sky was a new shade of blue or the waves looked just a little bit more majestic. We watched lots of sunsets and just enjoyed being together.

there are so were so many great spots for the kids to explore with daddy

We spent most afternoons at the aquarium, which was great for the kids to get their energy out!

Our kids think Susie's bathtub is so cool (its a claw foot tub) and Hannah joined in on the fun this year.

The Links at Spanish Bay have a bagpiper that plays every afternoon to close the golfing day. We walked along the course and followed him as he played. Jeff and I both love bagpipes (we had them at our wedding) so this was such a treat! Harris just loved it!

someday when I get back into golf again I would love to play at this course!

So thankful for rest, enjoying God's creation and family time together!

Such sweet pics of your growing family! I emailed you about the possibility of you being in Louisville, but all I had was your samford email address... Is that the one that you still use? I'm trying not to get my hopes up about y'all moving here :) That would be wonderful! Just know if you need anything... any info on the city, housing, or need a place to stay if y'all come visit, we have plenty of room. Anxious to see where the Lord has y'all and praying for you!
